Sean's focus is on all natural sound, silence, and quiet spaces, that he uses to create textural pieces filled with expectation and uncharted emotions. He uses improvisational and aural techniques & traditional notation techniques in his work. He fuses electronic sounds with raw unedited sounds, field recordings, spoken word, and sampling of which he records most of his own samples. Sean composes experimental pieces for classical guitar in combination with other instruments and include varied percussive effects and means of creating alternative sounds, including using drum sticks and other items of every day use. Sean is currently focusing on the moving image and improvisational sound projects that has been heavily influenced by his research into texture, sound and silence.

Sean recently produced a premiere event at The Joan Sutherland Performing Arts Centre in Western Sydney as part of his research studies and he hopes to follow this up with more productions of alternative music performances in the West of Sydney and The Blue Mountains.
